Xray maps are a one-of-a-kind radiology reference chart. Each “Map” shows an illustration of the anatomy being referenced along with colored boxes to indicate the specific area of anatomy generally covered on each examination.
Beneath the exam headings are:
- the total number of views common for that order.
- descriptions of each view.
- abbreviated descriptions of the anatomy covered.

Each map covers a specific type of x-ray order; Extremity, Chest, Abdomen, and Spine and together cover 40 of diagnostic radiology’s most common orders.
